UbiClinic concludes its partnership with GCD Technologies

In order to better guide our platform’s final design, we partnered with our local consultancy firm GCD Technologies for a product design sprint.

Andrew and Mark attended two focused in-person ideation sessions in Lurgan, where we explained the UbiClinic concept to the GCD team.

Their blend of product design and technical insight was brought to bear on our idea, and a prototype was developed and tested before a selection of pilot users. These users provided us with key insights and encouraging feedback.

The combination of endorsements from our pilot users, as well as refinements to our workflow, has placed UbiClinic with further essential insights to deliver our one stop clinical room marketplace.

UbiClinic Wins an Innovate UK Health & Life Sciences Grant!

UbiClinic is pleased to announce that we have won an Innovate UK Health & Life Sciences Grant!

In late 2024, we submitted our application to receive a grant that would fund development of our upcoming treatment room booking platform, now known as UbiClinic. After a tense wait, and what we are told was a tight competition, we received the big news that our application had been accepted! We are now delighted to receive funding from the UK’s innovation agency, Innovate UK.

The grant was created to fund potential new high-growth businesses in the Health & Life Sciences sector in Northern Ireland, and we're very grateful for this show of confidence in UbiClinic from Innovate UK.

This funding will be a great boost to our ambitious plans to build the one stop platform for finding your perfect treatment room!

UbiClinic completes QUEST program and wins a grant award!

Last week, UbiClinic was delighted to collect a grant award on behalf of UbiClinic from QUBIS Ltd after completing the intensive InQUBate program.

During the program, we went on a journey with a cohort of fellow students and graduates to conduct market discovery, refine our business model, hear from experts experts, and take part in many vital networking opportunities. At the end we had the opportunity to pitch our idea to a panel of experts at QUBIS, and received the good news that our idea for UbiClinic was selected among the winners!

It was a pleasure being on the program, not just to see many other brilliant businesses in their inception, but also to meet the people behind them in the Belfast startup community.

NowDoctor attends the RCGP 2024 conference in Liverpool

As part of our QUB QUEST market discovery journey, Andrew attended the RCGP Annual Conference and Exhibition in Liverpool this week. It was insightful to speak with fellow GPs about the challenges faced at the coalface of primary care today.

NowDoctor wins a place on QUEST with QUB

NowDoctor successfully applied for a place on the prestigious QUEST program delivered by Queen's University Belfast.

We will be journeying on this program with many other entrepreneurs in the making, participating in customer discovery, market validation, workshops, coaching and mentoring.

Additionally we are entitled to a grant worth £10,000 - split between salary, digital testing, and a business advisor.

We're eager to get started, not least of all to revisit our alma mater!

NowDoctor wins Techstart £10k PoC grant!

After completing the competitive Co-Founders programme, NowDoctor was one of the 10 teams selected to receive a £10,000 proof of concept grant from Techstart!

Andrew and Mark entered the program in March 2023 and participated in a rigorous program that provided valuable feedback from experts, as well as key insights into starting and growing a business.

At the end of the program, we attended Pitch Night held in the MAC theatre in Belfast. We had the opportunity to showcase our business, network with other Co-Founders graduates, then finally deliver our pitch to a large audience.

Andrew took the lead in pitching, sharing our business vision to revolutionise private healthcare with the audience, delivering it within the required two minutes. Afterwards we received the good news; our pitch was successful, and the expert panel had chosen us among those to be awarded a £10k Techstart PoC grant.

The good news was reported in the Irish News and on Catalyst. Congratulations to all our fellow successful teams in the 2023 cohort!
